Our upcycling process

Maison Flore is a marriage of French embroidery heritage and upcycling. By crafting antique Trousseau linen in Paris, the brand weaves together heritage and circularity, emotion and sustainability, a living conversation between past and future.

We believe beauty already lives within the fibers of the past. Instead of creating new materials, we choose to awaken sleeping beauties, to reinvent the existing with care and respect.

Wearing heritage, Crafting legacy

Every Maison Flore creation begins with a quest : the search for antique linen, a fabric that carries within it stories, emotion, and the delicacy of time.

We breathe new life into textured sheets, hand-embroidered tablecloths, sturdy linens, and precious lace, all the treasures once composing the trousseaux of the past.

Each fragment is recovered and reimagined in France with passion and savoir-faire, transformed into feminine, unique, and timeless pieces.

The art of giving new life to materials

Our exceptional century-old and enduring linens are sourced from French recycling centers, donations, and private collections, entrusted to us by those eager to see their family heirlooms live again.

Considered treasures to be preserved rather than raw materials, these fabrics often bear the marks of time like stains, small tears, or years of slumber in countryside cupboards.

Lovingly sorted, washed, and restored, they are reborn through delicate artisanal gestures and timeless savoir-faire.

Uniqueness as a signature

Re-embroidered, gently tinted when needed, or transformed into patchworks to form entirely new fabrics, our linens are each unique, bearing the beauty of their own irregular weave, natural shades, and preserved hand embroideries.

At Maison Flore, upcycling becomes an act of creation in its own right, a meticulous and intentional process, where every cut is guided by respect for the fabric, the desire to avoid waste, and the will to honor its origin. A poetic gesture with minimal impact and enduring quality.

Seasonless & timeless linen

Whether pure linen or métis (linen weft, cotton warp), our upcycled fabrics are all of French origin, dating from the 1900s to the 1960s.

Our century-old materials are highly sustainable : they have already stood the test of time, yet remain of a quality still unmatched today. Softened by countless washes, they have become supple and comfortable, and will continue to age gracefully.

Both natural and timeless, their linen fibers offer thermoregulating properties : it is cool and refreshing in summer, protective in winter, uniting strength and sensitivity to accompany the seasons, and the years, with elegance.

Maison Flore is forever.

Echoing a refined artisanal savoir-faire and a forgotten tradition, our century-old linens are reborn through a circular and poetic vision, celebrating the beauty of heritage, the tenderness of maternal love, and the emotion of family treasures.

In the purest tradition of the trousseaux of old, our upcycled ready-to-wear and home collections are guaranteed for life : every repair is offered in our Paris atelier, ensuring that each piece will be restored whenever needed, to be worn, celebrated, and passed on as heritage.
