THE EDELWEISS TOP

Bonjour ! I am the Edelweiss top in Lemoncello colour 🌷

I am 100% Made in France with upcycled, repurposed and organic materials.

Here is my story ...

THE INSPIRATION

The Edelweiss top is inspired by Flore's grand-mothers, who were trousseau embroiderers in Marseille until the 1950's. They embroidered bedsheets for all the Vauban neighbourhood and were very famous for their precious work. It inspired Flore to repurpose these sustainable materials to create a modern trousseau with comfy & cute loungewear pieces.

BORN IN PARIS

This Edelweiss top is born in Paris, rue Charlot in Maison Flore workshop-boutique. Flore designs each item for fashion or for home collections, and her creative process includes materials sourcing, pattern-making on mannequin or paper and cutting out materials in house.

VINTAGE EMBROIDERED TRIMS

This Edelweiss top is a frilly piece made of vintage embroidered cotton trims. It is coming from an old haberdashery deadstock based in Brittany, France. The owner's niece had this stock left from the 1950's. She only has a small quantity so this Edelweiss top comes in very limited edition.

UPYCLED ANTIQUE BEDSHEETS

This frilly top has been created from a french antique linen bedsheet from the 1930's. It is coming from a deadstock seller based in Marseille, France, who collects vintage linen intented to be thrown away, despite the quality, sustainability and almost perfect condition.

FAIRE RENAITRE & REVIVRE

GOTS CERTIFIED ORGANIC COTTON THREAD

We use 100% Gots certified organic cotton sewing thread. The fibre comes from Egypt and then is spun and dyed in Soest, The Netherlands. This thread company was founded in 1970 and remains family owned ! They manufacture all of their threads in Europe and care about the safety of their employees and the environment.

LOCAL COUTURE

This Edelweiss top has been 100% manufactured in Paris, rue Charlot, by Flore herself. Every step of sewing has been made in our workshop boutique. Yes, it's french couture baby !

UNE COUTURE LOCALE

Notre couture est 100% Made in France !

MADE TO LAST

This Edelweiss top is part of our Treasure line and is numbered with hand-embroidery. As were antique trousseau, it is destined to be cherished and one day passed on to the next generation. We hope you will carry its story beyond and make it your own !
