" Bonjour ! I am Flore, the founder and designer behind Maison Flore. Let me introduce you to Mimosa, a poetic pierrot collar blouse, 100% made to order in our workshop boutique in Paris by me ... Yes, it's french couture, baby ! ✌🏻

The Mimosa blouse is part of our Treasure Line and can only be made in small quantities. Each piece is numbered by hand-embroidery.

It has been created from french vintage cotton trims from the 1950's, with refined embroideries details in lemoncello color. It is mixed with an organic white cotton veil coming from an existing stock in Germany. All the fabrics are reused and upcycled, we don't produce any new materials to manufacture this item.

In order to avoid any waste of fabrics and in addition to our made to order process, I worked on a very special pattern that can adjust to many sizes thanks to pleats and drawstrings. The Regular size works from a XS to a XL size. If you are over this sizes, please select the Custom size. You can refer to the Sizing section below if you have any doubt.

I hope you will enjoy this treasure, destined to be cherished and one day passed on to the next generation. Can't wait to sew it for you !"

THE STORY BEHIND

" MAISON DE FAMILLE "

It all started with Marie, Flore's great grand-mother. She was a trousseau embroiderer in Marseille at the end of the 19th century. And so was Berthe her daughter. Fascinated by her maternal line heritage, Flore dreamt for many years of reusing these abandoned treasures. Maison Flore is based on upcycling and giving a new life to vintage materials and antique domestic textiles, giving birth to soulful clothing with a unique story behind each piece of fabric. Using these handmade quality materials refreshes the idea of trousseau, made of precious pieces destined to be collected, cherished and one day passed on to the next generation.

" MAISON DE COUTURE "

As a tribute to her grand-mothers' work, Flore chose to create this refreshed trousseau made of green couture and refined savoir-faire. Each treasure is handmade to order by Flore herself in her workshop boutique in Paris. Her making process includes designing, materials sourcing, pattern-making, cutting out, manufacturing and hand-embroidering. She only works on timeless clothing, no more collection or season, only different lines including accessories or house linen, from limited editions up to one-of-a-kind items due to the completely unique vintage textile it is made from.
